This 20 hour certification will provide yoga teachers as well as health practitioners or individuals involved in senior fitness activities with a strong understanding of Chair Yoga: theory and practice. Participants will gain the skills required to bring yoga to students who might otherwise not be able to embrace a practice.

Along with the meditation, breathing, and relaxation techniques, you will learn how to adapt the classical Yoga asanas to the chair rather than the floor in a therapeutic context. Material is offered for students of a variety of skill levels and circumstances to make yoga accessible.

Explore modifications in the chair, advanced chair yoga postures, partner yoga in the chair, restorative yoga in the chair and more.

Students who attend the scheduled live session and complete the homework assignments will receive a certificate to register 20 CEU hours with Yoga Alliance of America.
